This Vocations Curriculum provides grades kindergarten through eighth grade one lesson to help children learn about and begin the process of discerning their own vocations. All K-8 educators in the Diocese of Green Bay should teach this lesson to their class annually during National Vocations Week. The production of this toolkit is a collaborative effort of the Diocese of Green Bay Office of Vocations, the Diocese of Green Bay Office of Catholic Schools, and educators from across the diocese.
In addition to the grade level lesson plans, you will find resources to assist schools as they seek to foster a school culture that celebrates holiness and following God’s call to holiness. Some of these resources include vocations lessons for music and art, tips to invite priests and religious into the classroom, recommended read alouds and more. Please use these resources to renew the discussion in your school building of how to encourage our young people to consider vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
